"Oil exports from Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan reach 26.1 mln tons in 14 months. Nearly 26.1 million tons of oil was exported in 14 months through. Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) crude oil pipeline, which constitutes the most critical leg of the East-West energy corridor. Can Hulusi Suphi, BP's Exploration & Production Director for Turkey, stated that the rapidly growing need for energy in the globalizing world shaped not only the economies but also the political strategies of the countries. Suphi underscored that BTC pipeline's importance could be perceived better when looked from this perspective.
